1. Resistance Training is a must! This is the only form of exercise
that will supercharge your metabolism. Perform exercises that use
the largest muscles. Squats and Lunges are an excellent choice for
your lower body. For your arms and shoulders, try exercises that
involve pushing or pulling movements. My favorites are push ups and
pull ups.

2. Forget Isolated Movements - they are a waste of your time. There
are no magic "arm, abs, butt or thigh exercises" that you can focus
on to reduce the fat in that particular area. No amount repetitions
you can do long enough or hard enough will make a difference if you
are neglecting the larger muscles in your body.

3. Trade Traditional Cardio for Intervals. Cardio is not the
cure-all for fat loss, it simply aids in the creation of a caloric
deficit, but the calories you burn during cardio are temporary.
Intervals and short burst resistance training address the core of a
true fat loss program by permanently increasing the rate at which
the body burns calories by preserving and adding lean muscle.

4. You are what you eat! Yes, the foods you eat will determine
whether or not you see results from all the hard work you are
putting into your fat burning workouts. Step One: Write it Down.
You cannot change what you do not know exists. Trade the dead,
empty calorie foods for live, natural whole foods, eat every 3 to
4 hours and take your metabolism and the fitness of your body to
the next level!
