Finding The Root Cause Of Hair Loss

By Irina Thorton

Men with shiny patches of skin on the scalp have become a common sight. Evidence suggests though that women may also be common victims of hair loss. It is perhaps because of this equal tendency for baldness that both men and women are becoming increasingly interested in understanding the cause of hair loss.

Hair Cycle

It is natural to lose several strands of hair in a single day. In the usual hair cycle, 80%-90% of hair strands are in the anagen or growing phase. The rest of the 10%-20% of hair strands are in the sleeping phase.

These hair strands normally get ready to be shed by thinning in the catagen phase and eventually falling off during the telogen phase. This is not the cause of hair loss that we should be worried about because hair normally grows back after a natural cycle.

Male Hair Loss

The cause of men's hair loss may be due to more than one factor. The most common cause of hair loss however involves genetics and hormone levels. It is known that at least 95% of hair loss in men is linked to no other cause of hair loss than androgenetic alopecia, more commonly known as male pattern baldness. This inherited condition results in a growing bald area on top of the head and a receding hairline.

Androgenetic alopecia is the result of having too much of a testosterone byproduct called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body. DHT may actually be beneficial in younger, growing males but too much of it in adults can be a cause of hair loss. DHT can be a cause of hair loss by attaching to hair follicles and cutting off the blood supply. Hair follicles therefore begin to shrink, making the growth of new hair strands impossible.

Female Pattern Baldness

Baldness may be less obvious and less severe in women. However, there is a condition called female pattern baldness that is so common that 1 in 4 women have it. The reason why it may not be obvious in women is that female pattern baldness does not result in whole patches of hair falling off. Instead, female baldness is characterized by thinning areas near the front of the scalp or hairline or generally thinning hair on the entire scalp. In most cases, strands of hair still remain on females with female pattern baldness.

There seems to be no set age for female baldness to begin but just like in males, the main cause of hair loss in women stems from genetic and hormonal factors. It seems that estrogen imbalances in females may be the main cause of hair loss.

For example, women who have recently given birth may experience thinning hair. However, they may eventually regain lost hair when their estrogen levels stabilize again. Women who are undergoing menopause however and women under hormone therapy may experience more enduring cases of hair loss. Hormone therapy with progesterone for example may be a cause of hair loss in women since the hormone blocks the development of follicles.

Why Is Acne No More The Best Selling Holistic Acne Book In Internet History?

Why Is Acne No MoreThe Best Selling Holistic Acne Book In Internet History, With Thousands Of Satisfied (And Now Acne Free) Users In 131 Countries Worldwide?

Acne No More is the #1 best selling acne ebook in the history of the Internet for a reason...

Thousands of women and men of every age have completely cured their acne condition and achieved lasting clear skin naturally, without drugs, over the counters, creams or "magic potions," simply by using the clinically proven, scientifically-accurate step by step method found inside this amazing acne freedom guidebook.

Mike Walden, a certified nutritionist, health consultant and author has not just pumped out yet another "acne cure program" into an already over-saturated market. Mike's Acne No More can be more accurately described as an "Acne Bible." It is quite simply one of the most comprehensive, complete, and precise guides to acne freedom you will ever read. What makes it so much different than other clear skin publications on the market?

Well first of all, it's not just a "acne relief" or "skin care" program, it's a holistic acne cure program. This may seem like semantics or wordplay at first, but once you've read just the first chapters, there will be no doubt in your mind that pursuing "acne relief" is not only the wrong goal, it may be the reason that you've failed to stop and maintain your 'acne free internal environment'. Acne No More shows you exactly why you should fix the internal problem that's causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief and then goes on to show you exactly how to do it.

Secondly, what makes Acne No More different is the amount of attention that is paid to each and every element required to achieve permanent freedom from acne symptoms and from hormonal and toxic overload disorders. Acne No More not only thoroughly discusses the lies, myths and fallacies surrounding a very confusing subject, it is simply the most detailed book about acne, blackheads, and hormonal health and inner balance ever written.

The Acne No More book is quite extensive (223 pages of rock solid content) which focuses on 100% natural acne treatment. That means there aren't recommendations for harsh prescription drugs with nasty side effects. In Acne No More core formula section (The 5 pillars) - Nothing is held back. In this section, Mike gives a detailed overview of each step, and then dives into the specifics in a perfect chronological order. There are also outstanding charts and checklists which make it very easy to know where you are at in the program and follow it.

Because the Acne No More program is not a quick fix ‘fairy tale’ cure but a complete holistic solution aimed at eliminating the root cause of acne and digestive disorders (regardless of their severity) and ensure your will permanently be acne-free, it does take work and persistence to complete. "The dictionary is the only place success comes before work" says Mike, as he emphasizes the "no quick fix" philosophy behind the entire book.

If there is any drawback to the Acne No More ebook, it's that it contains so much information, that some readers may find it a bit overwhelming. Those who are looking for a quick start type of acne program, might be a bit intimated at first. The good part however, is that even these types of readers can feel confident and assured that it will be worth the effort because this will literally be the last book they ever have to buy on the subject.

Who will benefit most from Acne No More?

In the broadest sense, anyone and everyone who needs to cure their acne and regain their natural inner balance will benefit from Acne No More. This ebook is honestly for everyone. Even people without acne. This is a total health rejuvenation program better than 98% of the nutrition and alternative health books on the market.

In terms of graphic design, Acne No More is a clean and professionally formatted PDF e-book. It is well organized and ideal for printing and reading in the comfort of your own home.

This impressive and unique publication has changed many lives and the hundreds of inspiring testimonials and success stories are found on the Acne No More website archives as proof.

The Bottom line?

Anyone looking for a quick fix solution to acne, anyone looking to be told fairy-tales, and anyone looking for a "magic bullet", acne pills, over the counters, 'acne freedom in 3 days' hyped up programs should not waste his or her time with Acne No More.

On the other hand, anyone searching for the truth about acne and his natural inner balance and who is ready and willing to put in some work and make the lifestyle changes necessary to achieve acne freedom, will find Acne No More to be one of the best investments they ever made in their lives. What Is The Use Of Anti Aging Eye Cream

By Geoff Hopkins

Why are people using anti aging eye cream , and what even is it? As we become older, dark circles begin to form below our eyes showing signs of aging. Another clear sign of age is the wrinkles that form. A person's eyes are a serious factor in their appearance. It is a known fact people look at our eyes when we are conversing, and because of that, we should take seriously the care of the appearance of the eyes. Below, we will begin to realize the many causes of bothersome wrinkles and dark circles.

The sun rays is one of the main causes. It affects the soft skin around the eyes considerably. Besides the eye is a great metabolic organ. It does not contain any fat or oil substance. Age does bring changes in the skin around the eyes. Puffiness, dark circles and tired looking eyes are caused by the age. The eye lids get wrinkles and lines on them. If these things are found then immediate attention should be given to the eyes so that we can always look young and attractive.

Cosmetic research has found ways to reduce age's effect on the eye area. Researchers have found many products that can hide the signs of age such as alpha hydroxy. This helps to produce new cells replacing the dead cells due to age. All over the world dermatologists have recommended alpha hydroxy. This helps to produce new cells replacing the dead cells due to age. A consumer needs to be careful when using these products.

Alpha hydroxy anti aging eye cream is not always suitable for everyone. Everyone is different and your dermatologist needs to prescribe the one suitable for you. Because the dosage varies between people, It is inadvisable to administer the product to yourself. Overusing the product can result is skin damage. Also, when the use of the cream stops, wrinkles, line and dark circles tend to return.

Many anti aging eye creams have been created with the vitamins A and D. The vitamins help restore skin that has been damaged from the Sun's rays. Some products add vitamin E to soothe the skin and to prevent damage causing ultra violet rays. Creams that add moisture the skin and can improve firmness of the skin. Some products improve the texture of your skin to make the eyes appear brighter and healthier.

Some eye creams are produced with natural substances such as sunflower oil, almond oil, nutmeg oil, etc. With many of the natural products it can take many weeks to work efficiently. A user should continue to sue the product as directed and wait patiently for results. Many such products are blamed as nonworking when the user gave up to soon.

With the hundreds of types creams available on the market, we need to take better care in our selection of the right product for our skin. Dermatologists are the only ones who will be able to prescribe the correct product suitable to our skin. With the correct product and the right use we will begin to receive very good results. Nevertheless, we should not expose our genital skin too much to the harsh sunrays. Even the protection of sunglasses will help.

There are few alternate medicines, but some of the Indian medicines made out of herbs have been known to yield better results. One advantage is the herbal medicines are less likely to produce any side effect. In close, many anti aging creams do work, and a user should consult their dermatologist. When used correctly, a user can effectively reduce and recover damage to the skin, around their eyes, and help make the user more attractive.

Choosing The Right Acne Treatment

by Jay Anderson

Acne is a disorder that literally affects millions of people across the world. It knows no age, gender, or race. Many people suffer from acne and have a hard time finding the right acne treatment that best suits their specific problem and needs.

You might not know that acne actually has several different causes and several different types. This is one thing that makes choosing the proper acne treatment more of a quandary. You need the right acne treatment so that your acne problem is taken care of. However, you also need the right treatment so that your skin itself improves. This should be your ultimate goal.

It is imperative that you discuss both your disease and your treatment choices with your dermatologist before you begin treatment. If your acne is particularly severe, it is especially important that you see a dermatologist and don't just try to treat your acne yourself. Not only may you waste money on something you buy that doesn't work, but you could in fact make your acne worse. You need to learn everything you can about your disorder, including what causes and what cures it. This can help you choose the right acne treatment.

For example, a particular kind of bacterium known as P. Acnes in fact is one major cause of this disease. It's important that you know this because the two major healing agents used to treat acne are benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. Benzoyl peroxide actually works to kill the bacteria that cause this type of acne. The salicylic acid works to gently exfoliate your skin, which can both helped clean out the follicle build up that helps cause the acne and can keep it from coming back as well.

Of course, these two medications are only two of many options available, and each is available over the counter. You need to understand which medication you need to use for your skin type. This is why it's especially important for you to talk your dermatologist before you begin any type of treatment.

You can also choose from many "acne kits" available on the market today. These kits contain individual products designed to work together synergistically to help you improve your skin. Typically, they contain one of the two active ingredients (either salicylic acid or benzyl peroxide), along with other agents designed to do such things as tone and soothe skin after treatment.

With these kits, however, you have to take care. This is because each of these kits is designed for a particular skin type. You need to choose a kit specifically designed for your skin type, such as dry skin. You can actually cause yourself harm or even make your acne worse if you choose improperly. For example, an acne kit meant for dry skin is meant to both treat the acne and moisturize the skin at the same time. A kit designed for oily skin contains drying agents that "soak up" the excess oil and keep the source of the oil in check as well. Therefore, if you have dry skin and use an oily skin treatment, you could actually harm your skin and perhaps even make your acne worse.

Most importantly, diet and lifestyle greatly affect your acne. The foods you eat can actually aggravate or lessen acne's presence. How much you sleep and how much water you drink can also soothe or aggravate your acne. You need to get enough sleep (usually at least a full eight hours) so that your skin has time to heal and rebuild. Drinking at least six to eight eight-ounce glasses of water a day helps your body flush out toxins so that they don't have to find their way out through your skin. In addition, your skin is much more hydrated and therefore much more likely to be healthy.

Discovering Cellulite Becomes Every Celebrities Worse Nightmare

By Graham Foster

If you were to open any womens magazine which you saw displayed at the bookstore or at the airport news rack you would only need to flick a few pages to come face to face with societies obssesion with cellulite. I am confident in it's pages you would find either an ad, feature article or most likely a photo of the latest maturing celebrity with cellulite. But this behaviour makes no sense whatsoever.

But why is it such a big deal, what is cellulite?

A simple description would be for cellulite "a lumpy substance resembling cottage cheese that is commonly found on the thighs, stomach, and butt." Cellulite is actually a fancy name for collections of fat that push against the connective tissue beneath a person's skin, which causes the surface of the skin to dimple or pucker and look a little lumpy"

Inspite of most peoples belief both women and men of all ages can have cellulite. This effect when seen in young baby will cause adoration will lead to horror when see in the mirror by most women. Trash mags and celebrity photo mags take an almost mischevious delight in displaying across their pages pictures of celebrities photographed with powerful zoom lenses showing the orange peel like skin around their legs and butt of the latest celebrity as if it was some sort of serious illness.

You'll notice in your drug store and online hundreds of creams, lotions and all manner of potions to rid ourselves of the legs and thighs of this dimpling effect called cellulite. All of which claim to resolve the problem.

What many people so easily ignore out of choice or ignorance there is a very simple solution for cellulite elimination and preventing it in the first place in a word, EXERCISE! that's right In most cases, regular exercise such as biking or walking will rid you of cellulite and tone your legs and bottom better than any cream, lotion or other method ...

It's a bit of down side having to actually do something to get rid of cellulite I know. But on the huge plus side you'll get fitter and live longer so that's got to be a plus.

People obsess over the result or you prefer the end result, not the cause or the neglect that actually lead to poor health. This is not saying that everyone should expect a perfectly toned body at any age, but certainly keeping yourself healthy is an sensible choice.

It's important to understand that cellulite is NOT a disease and not even an unhealthy characteristic of the body. This is very much contrary to what all the womens magazines and skin care manufacturers would have you believe.

Simply walking for half and hour every day will do more for your self-confidence and overall feeling of health than any magic cream or lotion or those increasingly popular electric muscle stimulators. If you found time like I did to read research about cellulite, it is very simply fatty tissue that is not generally unhealthy in its self (unless you also have too much body fat overall) and really no different from ordinary fat any where else on the body.

Which ever topical product you apply or nutritional supplement you choose to take or device you try or even spa treatment you pay for they all come with little or no guarantee of success. You should also heed the fact that few of these products have been tested for safety and most are pretty much ineffective. You still can't beat simple exercise and healthy eating regimen to get rid or unwanted surplus fat anywhere on the body.

You must not forget your body shape and the way it disperses fat around the body is a genetic trait so if you get cellulite if all else fails just say your mom gave it to you.

A leading source for information about cellulite is the US National Library of Medicine which states:

- Stop Smoking if a smoker, and take regular exercise not forgetting to maintain a healthy weight without huge fluctuations. Drink plenty of fluids (ideally water) and consume at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day.

There is no need for concern about cellulite but with all those magazines bombarding you I expect you'll find that hard to accept.

Vitamin A And Healthy Skin Nutrition

By Sara Musfeldt

You should evaluate your diet for solutions to any ailment you have-whether your ailment is skin-related or otherwise. If you have dry/flaky skin or acne then it's quite possible that a lack of vitamin A could be the reason; this vitamin is a critical component in rebuilding cells, which helps maintain healthy skin.

Vitamin A is created from retinol and beta-carotene, which are considered pre-vitamin A. With enough pre-vitamin A the body can manufacture its own supply of vitamin A. Consuming the right vegetables and animal products you are giving your body what it needs. However, you can try taking a vitamin A supplement of no more than 25,000 international units a day (more than this can be toxic) for optimal consumption.

Below is a list of vitamin A rich foods:

Spinach

Sweet potatoes

Carrots

Cantaloupe

Mangoes

Liver

Beef

Egg yolks

Milk

Mozzarella cheese

With the right amounts in your system, the benefits of vitamin A are plentiful including hydrated skin with no flaking and quickly healed pimples and lesions. Also, studies prove that there is a link between those with low levels of vitamin A and severe acne. To benefit from vitamin A, acne sufferers should take a supplement, modify their diet, and use topical skin care products that contain vitamin A, or retinol.

Vitamin A is an excellent part of skin fitness and your overall fitness. In addition to helping with acne and hydration, it is also an antioxidant, good for your immune system, bone strength, eyesight, and digestive system.

The 6 Most Common Pimple Types

By Lana Robinson

Nearly 17 million people in the United States have acne, which makes it one of the most common skin diseases. Acne is most common in teenagers and young adults, and does not discriminate among races. Nearly 85 percent of people between the ages of 12 and 24 get acne at one time or another, some more than others. For most people, acne goes away by age 30. But some people in their forties and fifties still get acne.

We don't know the exact cause of how a pimple develops. What we do know is that the pore collapses on itself and blocks oil (sebum) from escaping. This causes the pore to become clogged and infected. The process by which a pimple develops is highly intricate, and we don't fully understand why one sebaceous gland has a clogging problem while the other does not.

While we don't understand exactly what causes acne, we do know that hormones, diet, vitamin deficiency, stress, evolutionary biology (just to name a few) play a role in the formation of acne. Most pimples are found on the face, neck, back, chest and shoulders. While acne is not a serious health threat, it can cause physical and emotional scars.

Pimples grow when body hair, sebum (oil), and skin cells clump together into a plug. Bacteria in the plug cause swelling. When the plug starts to break down, a pimple appears.

Because many factors cause pimples, time is better spent on finding and testing an effective treatment.

There are many types of pimples. The most common types are:

1. Whiteheads. Pimples that stay under the skin's surface.

2. Blackheads. These pimples rise to the skin's surface and look black. The black color is not from dirt.

3. Papules. Tender, small pink bumps that appear on the surface of the skin.

4. Pustules. Pimples that have pus at the top and are red at the bottom.

5. Nodules. These are large, painful, solid pimples that are deep in the skin.

6. Cysts. Pus-filled, deep and painful pimples that can cause scars.

How To Make My Acne Go Away

Acne is the term used by dermatologist to define plugged pores, pimples, or deeper lumps, that occur on the face, back, chest, neck, or shoulders. The severity of acne ranges from mild to severe, encompassing spots of acne to painful nodules and cysts. Acne has many names: pimples, whiteheads, papules, cysts, nodules, and rosacea just to name a few. Statistically, adolescents are the ones in our population affected by acne regardless of sex, race, or ethnicity. In fact, about 80% of all people between the ages of 12 and 17 will develop an occasional pimple or "breakout." However, some of these "breakouts" are much more severe from some than for others.

Acne is usually diagnosed beginning at the age 10, and subsequent diagnosis may persist for decades. For a small percentage, this condition can prove troublesome throughout adulthood, even into the late twenties, thirties, and beyond. Men and women are equally affected by acne. However, men are much more prone to developing more severe forms of acne. They are also less likely to seek medical attention. On the other hand, women may be at a greatest risk for occasional breakouts caused by hormonal changes associated with the application of oil-containing cosmetics and normal menstruation. As we all now, both women and men can have cases of severe acne that, if left untreated, can cause deep facial scarring and emotional distress.

Most of you reading this have some form of acne, and you are looking for a way to get rid of acne for good. As a 15 year acne sufferer myself, I was searching for the 'be all' and 'end all' for acne treatment. But I wanted to find the best ways to treat acne, and it was also important to me to find natural solutions that worked with no side effects. Dermatologists can write a prescription for many different pharmaceutical products that are effective at treating most cases of acne. However, what we have learned is that many of the prescription drugs have side effects, some of which are very serious.

One of the most popular prescribed drugs for treating acne is Accutane. Although it has a pretty high success rate, there are many studies out that now claim Accutane can cause very serious side effects. Many studies are showing that serious symptoms can show up many years after taking Accutane. Some of the possible side effects are: inflammatory bowel disease and rectal bleeding, joint dryness, stunted growth, musculoskeletal injuries, vision damage, liver damage, and severe birth defects. So if you are considering Accutane or other prescription drugs to help get rid of your acne problems please do your own research and understand that serious side effects are very possible.

Through my own research and personal experiences, I learned that the best way to get rid of acne and to keep a glowing complexion is by treating acne from the inside-out, rather than solely from topical chemicals that don’t work and usually cause more harm to the skin. Products that fuel your body with key nutrients that allow the skin to normalize, while promoting a decrease of sebum (oil) production and inflammation are key to successful acne treatments. Acne can really be a nuisance for all of us, and we don't have to be doctors to understand the impact it has on our lives. Most people don't understand why some people get acne more often than others. Having had acne most of my life I wanted to find a simple, effective, yet safe solution to treating my acne that didn't involve harsh chemicals or fragrances that could further irritate my skin.

Personally I am even more delighted to say that this all-natural acne treatment system works! Having tried many 'over the counter' creams and pills, along with several different prescription drugs, all without success, I was finally able to clear my acne. And it's a great feeling knowing I cleared my acne without taking dangerous prescription drugs. I starting seeing results within a few days and my acne was totally cleared up within a few months. Being that I am in my upper 30s and have battled cystic acne for over 20 years, I was not an easy case to treat. The scars left on my face from my teenage years were very noticeable, and I really didn't think anything would ever help. My face is now clear, and my acne scars are gone.

If I would have had this product many years ago I would have saved a lot of money which I spent on worthless products that probably made my acne worse over the years. Plus it would have been nice if I didn't have to go to those embarrassing doctor appointments regarding my acne. I would go to the dermatologist and then go back to school. My friends would ask where I had been, and I was too embarrassed to tell them the truth. Nevertheless, I am thankful to say that I found an all natural acne treatment system that finally get rid of my acne and from what I have recently learned, it is becoming a top choice for many acne sufferers.

Before you buy anything online, make sure you read Lana Robinson's free report on how to make acne go away, and natural acne treatment
